Default backspacing. on my zr2

ok so i want some rock crawlers. series 51. they have backspacing 3.75" and 4.5". i have some bfg all terrains. right now they are barely rubbing with the stock rims. i want to know what backspacing size you think is best. i want them to sit normal on the truck so they dont rub any more than they do already.
any help!? thanks.

If youve got stock rims and youre rubbing a little, decreasing the backspacing will multiply your problems. Ive got 30x10.50 A/Ts, with 4.5' backspacing, and I rub a little offroad even with my body lift and tbar crank.

Try and find a rim with more backspacing to avoid the trouble.

You ALWAYS want to stay as close to stock backspacing as possible, which is 6 inches. Unfortunately, there are no rims that I have found, other than stock, that have 6 inches of BS.

That being said, what size tires are you currently running? If they are larger than 31s, that is the reason you are rubbing, providing you have not done any other mods. (Going off your screen name I'm assuming you have a ZR2)

Like Wolfpack said, if you are already rubbing with your stock rims you will rub worse going with less BS. There are a few ZR2 owners that rub on the sway bar with the stock tires/rims, but these are mainly the trucks.
