Default Camaro Wheels 2002 Blazer 4x4

My stock tires were bald and now was the time to change my wheels.
I wanted something subtle.

I found these take-offs on craigslist.
I had to open up the hubcenter of the camaro wheels from Ø67mm to fit the Blazer Ø70mm.
I used a hand grinder and slowly wittled away taking measurements as I went.
I was able to use my stock lugnuts and finish caps.
4000 miles so far with no problems.

Right? they were cheaper than a new set of tires!

If you look for on Craigslist, they are all over the place.
Camaro factory OEM wheels and tires

Not as sloppy due to the thinner sidewalls, but my shocks and bushings are toast so I didn't notice too much difference.

That is a true statement ! I looked and found and machined and installed ! I hope you don't mind that I Aped your modification. This past weekend I found a set of 2013 Camaro wheels that have seen some use. Two of the tires were very worn but I found another pair with 90% tread left. I had all the tires de-mounted so the Machinist could mount the rims on a table and find center first.Camaro Wheels 2002 Blazer 4x4-camera-1-318.jpg

Camaro Wheels 2002 Blazer 4x4-img_0683.jpg I took it to a higher level by enlisting the help of a Professional Machinist, who happens to be a dear friend.

That is Fort Washington on the Potomac in the background from the Mount Vernon Memorial Parkway.( photo taken at Fort Hunt ) My stomping grounds.Woo Hoo....my first photo post! Costs: set of wheels and tires $200,demount tires $30,purchase and mount 2 tires $201,remount & balance the other two $30,And To keep my friend happy $100,Total $561 Two rims have curb rash but hey, it's a truck ! This was a multi State ordeal; The wheels came from Delaware to Rockville where we exchanged,The two 90% tires were from Buckeystown,Md (Way north of me 3 miles shy of Frederick) Machinist was local to me,I guess I should add gas to my costs $30 or $40.

[QUOTE= Does it ride any better than with the stock rims? I can tell you that going from a 75 sidewall to a 55 sidewall has greatly improved cornering characteristics and road "feel". At the same time the ride is a little harsher ( shorter sidewall ). I used to say the Blazer was like a Cadillac compared to my previous vehicles, now it is more like an Impala SS !!

Have either of you guys with the camaro wheels lowered your vehicles at all, or is it stock ride height? They look great!

I'm in the market for new tires, and my OEM blazer wheels are all gouged, pitted, missing center caps, so this option is very intriguing to me.

I have a dremel at home and a bunch of spare time after the kids go to bed at night, do you think I can make these fit on my own? I also have an air cutoff wheel. Would I need any other tools?

Stock ride height. These wheels are designed to be mounted "hub centric" as opposed to "lug centric". I would recommend professional machining,as any mistakes could lead to vibration or worse.Quote "The lugnuts hold the wheel firmly to the mounting plate, but it is the wheel-to-axle connection that actually holds the weight of the car." Hub-Centric vs. Lug-Centric Wheels Quote"The wheel studs or lugs are designed to resist lateral forces that are experienced when the vehicle is cornering. They are not designed to carry the weight of the vehicle." Why you need hub-centric rims | Driving
