Custom painted wheels
I recently decided to paint my stock wheels on my blazer, and well heres what i ended up with.
Heres Stock..
All sanded, getting ready for primer,
Wheels all masked off, with first coat of paint,
I also decided to paint my calipers while i was at it..
Heres the finshed product!
And heres a little before and after

It looks great! The calipers and the red chevy emblam are a really nice touch. Great job.
I've been wanting to pain my rims black since I got my truck last week. I only hope I can do half a good a job as you did. What type of paint did you use? What type of sandpaper did you use and did you just sand the rims by hand? Any other advice?

I should have taken step by step pictures as i was doing it huh, whoops... Well here is the written steps i did.
1.Remove wheels
2.Clean wheels
3.Hand sand with 150grit sand paper
4.Then with 220grit
5.Re-clean wheels to remove dust
6.Mask off the part i want to leave grey with painters tape
7.Mask off the tires
8.Spray "Rust-Oleum" grey automobile primer
9.Allow to dry and repeat once or twice
10.Once primer is dry, i used "Valspar" Black 2X Max Anti-Rust spray paint
11.Allow to dry and repeat two to three times
12.Then use "Rust-Oleum" crystal clear enamel for the clear coating
13.Depending on preferences you may want to repeat
14.Allow all that to dry for several hours before re-mounting
15. Re-mount and enjoy your shiny, new "aftermarket" wheels.
If painting the calipers, then just sand them down a little, mask off the brake disk and everything around the caliper and throw a little red paint on there.
