well i dont think they will stick out all to far, only a inch or so which isnt bad. So a 15x7 with 4.5 in of backspacing will stick out 1.5 inches wider than stock. i can live with that and itll probably look pretty sweet.

My question is: Is there any harm to your suspension in running with a larger wheel base caused by a smaller backspacing? (Other than the fact they stick out farther than your fender)
Less back spacing means more stress on the ball joints which means changing them more often than we already do. The closer to stock you can get the better off you'll be. 4.5" is about the minimum you want to get.

Short answer is yes. However the severity of damage depends on a variety of things.

Research Ackerman angle. That will get you started in understanding the ramifications.
