Not sure what you mean by lack of contact patch. could you elaborate some more?

I paied 530 out the door for 4 BFG mud terrains mounted road force balanced and siped. Though I think the AT's are a little more expensive but the price sounds about right. You should get a ton of milage out of them too.
did you just sipe the center tread blocks?

there isnt alot of rubber in contact with the road.

What would you consider a lot of tread on the road?

Any more tread and it would be a passenger tire.

Any more tread and it would be a passenger tire.
ALL-Terrain not Mud Terrain. Id expect an ALL -TERRAIN to be somewhat of a "passenger" tire. Being its used on AND off road. The grabbers are just as aggressive as the A/T but with alot more rubber touching the ground.

Yes the center tread blocks are siped. Really helps alot in wet conditions.

FYI no one can get these in Canada either.
I was told they were on backorder for atleast 2.5 months a few weeks ago, worldwide.

okay, so i've got it down to two tires.... the BFG All-Terrain and the Pro-Comp Mud Terrain (made by Cooper).... help me decide... give me some pros and cons...

All-Terrains are the best for you, unless you are always in the dirt, get the A/T's or check coopers AT tires, they are very nice.

My neighbor had the cooper S/T-c's on his 1500 series silverado, he loved em in the mud. Prolly why he moved to Tn on all those acres of venison and mud.
