"Good ones" only fail when they are not installed right, from my experience.

I have 15x8 soft 8's w/ 4" backspace on 33x12.5R15s and I have never had any caliper issues on either my Chevy fronts or my Ford rears. Very interesting! Maybe the shop filed mine but I'd think they would have mentioned it. Maybe I'll pull a wheel and look for file marks.

This is my 1998 blazer after the new rims they are 15x7 with 4.5" of bs I think. They look great and I haven't had any problems so far with them.

So just to be certain. What is wheel size is needed for correct fit with no filing or spacers? I will be ordering soft 8s soon and would like to order the correct ones? Also I have a 98' non zr2, 2dr and will be running 31x10.5s MT's.

Same question here - I have an '03 non ZR2 2dr and want to buy the 15x7 soft 8's but would be quite interested to have someone confirm if they will rub the calipers or not before I buy them.

the zr2 looks great with those rims, that is about what i am looking at for mine.
For the non-zr2 crowd, if you are looking to run the larger tire check the sticky for what mods you have to do first. the tires may be an issue before you get to worry about the rims. you can also measure your rims to see where you should be.
