Unhappy most 4x4's have 235 tires, why is mine 205?

I'm looking at a 3 inch body lift, and a 30-31 inch tire. I have 3.42 gears and was wondering something. Most 4x4 blazer owners say that the stock tire size listed in their door jam is 235/75/15. Why is mine listed as 205/75/15? Searched for a good while and can't find anything. It's a 92 4door 4x4, with 4.3 V6. Why is my truck so whimpy?

That is an optional tire size. I've seen it on quite a few and my Dad's 4 door even has that size from the factory.

Not sure why exactly. Mine has 235/70r15 when almost every other Blazer has 235/75r15. Mine's 4x4 too and I've seen 2WD's with 235/75's

Over the years, different tire sizes were used depending on the equipment packages of the trucks. I believe the 235/70x15 size started being common (especially on 2WD models) to address handling issue complaints.

I appriciate all the replys. I just always kinda wondered and had to ask. I thought it was odd i had to upgrade to what everyone else had when they bought it. I thought maybe my drive train or something might be made diffrent and needed the small tires, (stupid thought but hey, I've heard of odder scenarios.) Thanks agian, I love this site!
