New Tires!!!!!
In about two weeks I will be ordering some much needed tires for my blazer. The ones that I have been looking at are the Firestone Destination M/T. I know others have suggested the grabber a/t2 but the destination has a higher rating. I won't be going offroad anytime real soon[sm=boohoo.gif]there are a few things that still need to be done. I can't wait to get these on there.
The Firestone Destinations do have high ratings. If you're not going to go offroad, the Destination AT might be better suited towards you. I don't have any personal experience but everything I've ever heard or read says that AT's last longer than MT's.
I do plan on going off road that is why I choose the mt instead of the at. I looked at them both and liked the mt better. I just won't be off road until i get my blazer running nice and strong. I don't want to buy two sets of tires.
got destination ats here and love em
tirerack.com has tons of good reviews for them
personally i think ats are almost as good as mts offroading (just can't clear mud), but get better mileage, wear, noise and most important street performance

So with the AT I would still be able to go off road just not in deep mud. I'm not sure what some of the trails provided around here are like. I would just like to be able to take my son out wheeling with me without the risk of getting stuck, that is why I was going for the MT. If you say that they are good enough to go off road then I will get the AT. Saves me a little money plus I still get to have fun.[sm=wootwoot.gif]
I know that general tires have been recommended, I would just like a tire that I can go off road in with no worries. I'm not trying to go rock crawling or anything like that. I have seen so many tires suggested I don't know which ones to choose. They only ones I know will give me what I want are the MT style, others say that they are overkill and that I can go with the AT and do the same. So any help with a tire would be great.
