So I've been doing a lot of reading up on filling your tires with Nitrogen. Basically it's worth it do the Nitrogen if the place that is mounting your tires and all offers it for free. Although, it runs you about 3-12 bucks if not, and according to a bunch of tests it's not worth the extra money for better gas mileage sake. They did claim it held 2.2 more psi over a span of 2 years rather than a regular comrpessed air fill. Now I was just wondering if anyone on here is using the nitrogen and notice any difference in mpg just for curiosity sake. I hear many people claim they get 3 mpg better on the interstate, but thats also because they switched tires when they did the fill and maybe I was thinking that they just got a better tire that gave them that gain instead of just the nitrogen doing it. So anyone have any actual proof in testing it yourself? Thanks for the replies in advanced

As far as I know N2 helps in the fact it doesn't heat up like air will, also it won't cool down in winter lowering your tires air pressure so those 2 factors 'should' help mileage & tire wear. Also there's the bonus of little to no moisture in your tires which is a factor in both of the temperature swings.

IMO not worth it. just check your pressure once in a while.
air does contract more when cold, so fil umm up a bit for winter.
just my opinion though

Yup thats true, but now-a-days everything is based around convenience & not having to pay attention/check things is what a lot of people like.

Yah that's pretty much what it is. People really don't look into something to see if it's actually what some people claim. If there's chance of improvement, despite the cost they will go after it
