Question Offset a cure to large tire body rub?

I’m looking to put 255/85/16s on a generation I 4-door S10 Blazer; this is a 33” tire that is 10” wide.

I’ve read in several places that 33s will fit on an S-10 with a few inches of body lift and some serious fender trimming. I’ve read elsewhere (on this forum) however, that to avoid body rub a suspension lift is also required.

I do not want to do a suspension lift, but I’m fine with a body lift and fender trimming. So my questions are:
1) Is it possible to body trim and body lift my way to no rubbing with 255/85/16s?
2)If not, could I cure this by using wheels with a different off set (since I’ll be buying 16’ rims anyways)? Would I be causing a bunch of other problems (steering issues) buy using wheels with a different offset?

Thanks! You helps is much appreciated.

i dont see why not. i ran 35 12.50s on a 85 with zero lift. i just destroyed the fenders by hacking them off.

Thanks for your reply. The more I work through this stuff, the more I think a K5 may be a better option for me.
