Default Rear mounted spare

Hi all, i have a 4 door and i was wondering if it would be possible mount the spare tire on the back of the blazer using the same parts and hardware that is on the 2 door blazers. ive never seen the rear mounted spare on 4 doors. is there adequit frame work under the quarter panel to support the rack?
Thanks

Default RE: Rear mounted spare

I know of at least one person to do this. While you are driving down the road, the mount that is on the rear tailgate is supporting the weight of the tire, not the outer mounts. The sheetmetal on the quarter is heavy enough to properly support the rack/tire when open. Just do not try jumping on it...
