Default refurbishing rims

Hello,

As i mentioned in my introduction post i want to polish up my truck, now there are some things i can find but this one leaves me in the dark.
I have some sort of rust-ish stuff on the rims of my truck, i would like to make them look clean and spiffy again. What would be the best practice without changing the rims? i thought a lot of polishing with wax but i would like some more opinions on it if you dont mind.

the only real way to get through that would be to have them un-mounted (tires) and have them sand/bead blasted to remove the clear coating.

The clear has chipped away in the "pitted" spots and the elements have eaten away at the raw aluminum.

You could get rid of some of the darkening with some good quality wheel acid (rim cleaner) and possibly take a mini buffer(dremmel) with some good metal polish and bring some more of that out....

other than that, option 2 would to be to paint them... I did this with both of my bravadas because the rims were shotty in spots so a couple coats of black did well

and if you want to paint them, could you just tape off the 4x4 and take some sandpaper to it and when its smooth paint over it?
or is it still possible to fix them up using a dremel and then clear coating over it?

you could dremel it and then clear it, but be careful on what product you use as clear will not stick to a "wax"

I stripped the clear off with aircraft remover (stripper) and am In the middle of polishing with a powerball. Looks good so far!
