Longer studs and spacers.

Search around they also make a spacer that bolts to the carrier and will lower the tire to keep it out of the rear window. Pretty common on jeeps.

i was just looking at the carrier and was thinking off cutting off the studs.
putting longer ones on with a nut and lock washer at the plate and using it that way.
i think thats what you mean.

ok, well i got the factory bolts out and put in some 3 inch with lock washers loctite and all the goodies.
and while it works great...well i can no longer see anything but tire out the back.
i thought about dropping the spare now...but it will def block the lic. plate.

oh well...it will last the winter.

you could lower it, then mount the plate on the wheel?

do they have lowering kits ? and i like the plate there to bad my bumper has an insert for it or id do that mod

mdehoogh, i like that look.
would need to find a matching camaro wheel...still working on that

would leaving the tire uncovered cause damage though?
i have heard yes and no...its one of those things.
