you know Curtis, you say you're paid to sit on the net while @ work, but you never seem to be able to view any pic's that are posted.

maybe you should ask for a raise, and when they refuse to do that, then you can tell them to at least give you better internet access then, or you'll find a better place to work! hahahahaha

Why does everyone hate on my wheels? I love them!

Here was my 98 Jimmy with 1st gen 5 spoke wheels on it:

Here it is with the stock wheels:

There were also the 12 hole wheels for 4x4's and the base steel wheel. I think those were the only wheels for a 1st gen. You can put any second gen 4x4 wheel on there though if you want something factory looking but different.

There is another set I will have to find. They look simialar to the early 90's Camaro rims. My stepdad has them on his '94.

*edit* these are the rims I was talking 'bout. Courtesy of wikipedia!

The Camaro rims are 2wd only rims. The hole rims are totally different styles from aluminum to steel. Aluminum is round holes, steel are more D shaped.

hey brother, i was the one praising your resto, and must say again, they look amazing! and it has even prompted me to redo my 1st gen 5 spokes. and speaking of the 5 spokes, your's are exactly what i was talking about (in post# 10) when i said that these rims came with the black paint on the openings. i've only ever seen the one set that i have, where the openings are painted what looks like argent silver, and looks much nicer, IMO.

those rims, while similar in style to the Z28 wheels, came out in '93, and was only used on the '93 & '94 2WD S series trucks. while i've personally only ever seen these on a Chevy, i have seen the rare GMC center caps while down in the US. they also used a special "beauty cap" for the lug nuts, that held on the center cap. nice example of a 1st gen 2WD 4 door Blazer cbr.

and both are ugly as hell.

*edit* damn. sorry NewFirstGen, i didn't realize that was a pic of your green Blaze showing the aluminum rims. that was just IMO.

My blazer has the 5 spokes on it factory but I have some of the aluminum ones you guys are talking about (commonly refereed to as the outlaw rims) and they came in 2 styles. One has the fake bolt heads and ones that are smooth (the better looking of the 2 IMHO).

I just picked up a Blazer and its looks like the twin of the one in the youtube video. The wheels would look alot nicer with a little lip on them.
