30" tire is the biggest you can fit w/o a lift. As for brand I've heard nothing but good things about the BFG A/T. I've personally never used them, but everyone suggest them for the perfect daily drive/off road tire.

i have 31 inch bfg at's and im not sure if i will get them again when i get tires in the spring. They work great for on road, snow, and some off-road. It depends on what kinda off-roading you do. The last time i went out it was really soupy mud due to alot of rain and the were not very good. The tread just filled with mud and became big doughnuts which were horrible. But mine are starting to were out. i only have around 6/32 left. So if you just plan on going on easy trails through the woods or what ever they would be perfect. I just wouldnt recommend them for anything major once they wear down.
