Im looking into getting a set of 16x8 wheels for my '01 4x4 and i was wondering what size wheels i should get. I keep seeing a lot of 31x10.5 tires for 15 inch wheels, but i cant find any tires that are in that size for 16 inch wheels. So if anyone could tell me what size would be comparable to the 31" tires for 16" wheels (i.e. 265/70/16 or something), because thats the only format I can find tires in for that wheel size. Running a search for "16x8" or "ZQ8" will turn up quite a few threads.

As far as the metric equivalent wheel size for a 31x10.5 tire on a 16" rim, you are correct. A 265/70R16 is the closest to a 31x10.5 tire for a 16" rim.
