Tire pressure for MPG
I have a set of 30 inch muds(in my sig) they are a load C tire. Max PSI 45 lbs. When I got them mounted I asked the tire guy what he recommended and he put them at around 36lbs. I am wondering if anyone has insight into what would be the best pressure to have on long highway trips for maximum milage.

I also have the BFG KO's in 30". I run mine at 42psi.
to find the exact psi. cover your tire with chalk, drive one full revolution and see how much of the chalk is left on the tire. If the center has chalk then your tires are underinflated. If the outside still has chalk then your tires are over inflated. Dont be surprised if the front and backs are different.
More air in the tire will make it stiff, and ride harsher.
Less air will make it spongy, and a smooth ride.
To much air and you wear out the center tread, too little and you wear out the outside edges first.
35 is what the recommended psi is for the stock tires on a stock truck. Its a starting place, all door stickers have the recommended psi.
