Default Tire rim fused to drum/bolts (GOT IT OFF-> 3x liquid wrench)

I just got a 97 blazer4x4 from my cousin (it's been sitting for a year). The intake manifold gasket leaks, it may need new ignition switch, and brake fluid leaks from back drivers side (probably a wheel cylinder).

The RL rim came off with liquid wrench and a few swift kicks (the drum came apart with a sledge), but the RR rim is friggin' bonded to the truck! The lug nuts came off after a squirt of LW.

I've drenched everything with liquid wrench & tri-flo, pounded it with a big sledge, and cruised around the family farm with loose lugs (bouncy-bouncy in 1st gear). No joy. wtf!

I honestly think I could take it on an interstate with no lug nuts...

a) Any bright ideas I should try before I fuq up the rim?

b) Any bright ideas that involve fuqin up the rim? (i have 4 more rims..)

Take that big hammer and whoop the crap out of the wheel studs just make sure you don't bend them. That should get it off and then you can install new studs. Idk if it'll work but thats how we used to get the seized up drums off the rear brakes

Really big sledge and pb blaster the crap out of it might have to let it set for a day or two. spray it while it sets too. if you can't get it off that way. Take a cutting torch and get the rim cherry red and then beat the hell out of it with the sledge. You will ruin the rim but it will come off.

its probally being held on by the center hub, i would take the center cap off and soak it with wd-40, liquid wrench or what ever you have laying around then beat on the backside of the rim and if it still doest come off then torch the wheel off

A third dose of liquid wrench over a period of a few days and some more good sledge hits popped her off. I thought LW was supposed to work in a matter of minutes... *sigh*

In the future, use PB Blaster. Best stuff I've used, and I've used most everthing on the market over the years.

Oh, and it won't work in just a few minutes, either. None of them do but PB Blaster has worked when other wouldn't.

Glad you finally got the rim off, though!

This happened to my dads 97 F150. What he did...after he used a sledge hammer to try breaking it free (which failed)...was use some wood that he had in the back of the truck, placed them between the tire and the inside fender and slowly turned the wheel in...wheel popped off like it was nothing.

Cant guaruntee it will work but it did for him.
