Question Tire Sizing

I have a 89 GMC S15/T15 Jimmy 4x4 4.3L 2dr truck. Bought it from a landlord that aquired it from a tenant thats business went bankrupt and left the Jimmy. It sat in a heated garage for 8-10 years. Anyway, it has winter tires on it 225/75 R15 with the basic stock steel rims. Can I put 235/75 tires on it without rubbing? Im looking at general tire Grabber AT2. Thanks

on an 89 jimmy you should be able to get away with bigger tires than that even

i had 31-10.5's on my '84-before i lifted it.

and the only time they ever rub'd was @ full lock, with the inside tire getting full compression on the suspension (it would hit on the back of the inner fenderwell.

FYI, check the latch area of your driver's door (if it hasn't peeled or been repainted) and the factoyu tire info will be there. but as far as i know, it's a 235/75/R15 for the 4WD trucks, and i'd go with the "LT" tires over the "P" tires.
