I'm looking for some new AT tires for my '96 Jimmy. I'm trying to keep it at or below $500 and I live in Michigan so they need to be good in snow. So let's hear what you have on your DD and how they perform. Thanks a lot!

 

Not technically all-terrain, but I have the basic Goodyear Wranglers. I've driven through some very soft areas in a pasture and they pulled through like a champ. They also performed very well during the snow storm we had last month. Cheap, too. Walmart carries them.

 

i got goodyear silent armors and they were awesome this year in the blizzard. they are quiet too. not sure of the price for your size but i bought 33 12.50s and only paid 550 through my work

 

the new goodyear duratrac are great. They are by far the most aggressive a/t I have ever seen, I frequent mud, dirt, sand etc and they have yet to let me down, and Im not talking about an inch or two of mud, Im talking the rim over half buried or more and I am rolling 33's..

 

firestone winterforce are pretty good too and cheap i got all four mounted and balanced for around 350, or for a bit more try firestone destination ats thats what im running right now and theyre good in snow and mud

they performed very well in the snow this winter, and on the trails.

No AT tire will be good in mud....

I'm at 44k-ish miles, theyre rated to 50k and they would probably make it but I'm upgrading tries for the summer so no biggie if they dont. Theyre relatively quiet on the road compared to my brother's BFG All-Terrains, and they clear dirt, gravel, snow VERY well. Best of all, theyve got the snow rating approval thing on the side, and have the holes if you need to stud your tires.

Here's a pic of me getting my rear axle stuck on a tractor tire...haha...but you can see the treads on the AT2 and how effectively they clear light mud and packed dirt even in 4lo:

by far the absolute best Winter tire i've ever driven with!

kinda soft for year round use, IMO.

i've been looking @ the Destination M/T's, Wrangler MT/R w/Kevlar, & the Kumho Road Venture MT (KL71)'s for Summer use.

 

Currently using some Khumo somthing or another (looks like a car tire) Switching to the mud terrain T/A km2 in a few weeks. gonna run about $600 mounted and balanced, but its a heck of a tire. The BF goodrich AT's arent bad though, should be in that price range if its stock size.
