What size tire to fill up wheel well
I horse traded for some 18s. They have 245/45/18 tires on them. I may lower it a little, but Im not going for the low rider look. I might do the 3" torsion kit on the front, and 3" something or another on the back. Thats all in the future after I do more research.
I really dont want to loose ride quality. Could I just put a taller tire on to fill up the wheel well. The new tires are 2" shorter than than stock ones. What would you guys recomend. My truck is a 4x4, and the guy I got the wheels from ordered them new for a 4x4, so they dont stick out any farther than stock.

RE: What size tire to fill up wheel well
I'm no expert and I am running into similar problems figuring out how to fill up the wells without going down on the ground. Those tires look pretty good on those rims and if you're going to do a 3 inch drop, then I would stay where you're at for now.
3 inches don't sound like much, but it is, especially on a 4x4. Go out and measure 3 inches down from where the well sits at now and you may be surprised. You may be able to tell how much room you will have left as well. The next size up that could help is the standard size 255/45-18 or 255/50-18 (more expensive too) which is a tad wider and taller. You may only be able to come down 2 inches then though I would imagine.
I went to Pep boys this weekend to actually look at a set of Hankook Ventus 255/55/-18 that is supposed to be almost the same diameter of a stock 235/75/15. Looked pretty good! Sidewalls were not as tall as I imagined and would give a more muscular look like the old street machines and still be able to keep the 4x4 truck look. Not sure how far down you can go on them but it shouldn't take much. Maybe someone else will chime in and give their 2 cents!
By the way, what are the width and offset of those rims?
