Default wheel offset formula

can anybody explain the formula of offset wheel calculation to cipher what i have, as to what i need?

my project is not normal blazer body, i have added 1.5 inch spacers and still need more clearance between tire and sub frame,
i dont want to [ tub ] the rear wheels, nor do i wish to widen the axle....

surely there is a wheel that has sufficient offset to work...

positive offset, negative offset, zero offset???

thanks in advance for any help, boudreaux

I could go into some explanation, but it really would be easier if you would simply run an internet search for yourself. There are many good illustrations & explanations available with a few key clicks.

Without more information (tire & rim measurements, pictures, etc.) on your current setup, it really is difficult to lend assistance there.

Default wheel offset querry

i am using a stock 15x7 chevy wheel, it came off a 4x4 jimmy, has the swirl pattern in parts of the outer wheel, it is not the swirl spoke that is more common
i will try to upload a picture...but for discussion, i cant seem to locate its offset value, are there any numbers on the wheel to discern that value..
the reason for more or less offset is the dodge panel truck body panel is about a half inch from the inside of the tire in the rear.
sorry this is so confusing, ive never run into this dilemna before
this is the best pic i have of the wheels i want to use

Those would be nice if the dimensions are good
