02 Envoy 4 wheel Drive/AC Problem
Hello...new to the forum and hoping someone might be able to help.
I've got an 02 Envoy with an interesting problem. The light at the dial to switch to4 wheel drive doesn't work, and at the same time the drivers side heating/ac started acting funny.
This started when I picked the truck up after a tranny rebuild, and the tranny guy refuses to accept any responsibility. I've checked the fuse panels and all the little 10/15/20/30 amp fuses are intact. I don't know how to test the larger box type fuses. Forgive me, as I'm auto illiterate.
Customer service at GM.com wasn't any help
Anyone have an idea? My next stop is the dealer, and I really hate to do that.

RE: 02 Envoy 4 wheel Drive/AC Problem
Does the 4wd actually work? I'm wondering if there's a connector not attached at the back of the 4wd control switch.
What do you mean the a/c started acting "funny"? What are the symptoms?

RE: 02 Envoy 4 wheel Drive/AC Problem
I'm unable to switch into 4 wheel drive because the lights on the dial don't illuminate.
The Heat and AC don't blow at the same force from the driver side outputs as the passenger side outputs. As well, it doesn't seem to get heat from the drivers side, but the passenger side blows hot.
Both symptoms presented when I picked the truck up after a tranny rebuild, but the mechanic was unable to locate the problem.
Very frustrating.
