Default intellitxt.com causing hangups on the site.

Ever since i signed up for this amazing forum when i load a new page it sits and hangs for 5 seconds after it loads. While doing so i see "waiting for autoforumuniverse.us.intellitxt.com" on the bottom of the screen. It does it on both of my computers on firefox or IE. I even tried google chrome. So i googled intellitxt.com and found that if you install firefox adblock and add intellitxt.com to the filters it fixed the issue and now it loads faster then ever. Anyone else notice this hangup or is it just me?

Thanks! The doubleclick is annoying enough, intellitxt just had too many freakin handshakes .. ie too much info passing.

Good way to shoot yourself in the foot, marketers!

Oh so you had to double click to get it out of the hang too? Hmm weird. Oh well. I can now browse this thing more without cursing and yelling at my computer.

this site is way better then alot of other ones. theres other sites where you have to wait for like 6 ads to load like break.com. i always figured it just has to do with how slow your computer is. my computer at home is like 6 yrs old but the gf's is brand new and this thing is instant

In addition to AdBlockPlus, there's another great plugin called NoScript which gives you a lot more control on blocking/allowing all or some flash/scripts.

NoScript - JavaScript/Java/Flash blocker for a safer Firefox experience! - what is it? - InformAction

Adblock Plus — for annoyance-free web surfing
