locks up for me too. this is pretty much all i do when i am actually at home. i live on here and on parts sites lol. just scopin out deals.

I've been noticing the same thing lately, but I haven't bothered to do any troubleshooting to figure out why. My guess is that one of the upstream providers or even one in between might be having issues or routine / emergency maintenance outages. If that's the case then some of us that go through certain ISP's to the site would see it as not responding or down. Next time it happens I'll do some digging and see if I can come up with any answers.

I'd run a ping from different locations but I'm pretty sure the server is behind a firewall or running iptables blocking icmp.

Is the site down for just me? Or everyone?

 

It hasn't been bad for me lately, just today for about about 30-45 minutes i couldn't get any browser to open the site like the OP said. Even tried restarting the computer and that didnt do anything so it lead me to believe it was the site.

Its working fine now tho

 

sometimes on explorer but chrome always works for me

 

So far so good no more problems

and i just upgraded my firefox to 11.0
