Default Placing Steering Shaft back in

Having issues installing the lower intermidiate steering shaft back into the upper intermidiate shaft.

I took out the lower shaft to replace the rag joint and now when reinstalling it in the truck the upper shaft seems too short. I can't seem to pull out the upper shaft anymore than what it is at currently.

Anyone else run into the issue? Want to get advice before I take the whole steering column out to look at it.

Did you get it fixed?

My only suggestion would be to loosen the bolts on the rag joint to allow for some more adjustment and then once the shafts are connected, tighten the bolts again.

One on top is a junk yard part that I added a fresh rag joint on.

Yea I fixed it. Turns out the original shaft was indeed shorter. Truck is much better now.
