Intake plenum gasket

Intake plenum gasket
I'm planning on replacing my FPR and gas lines to the spider cpi unit and have looked at the great info
provided by the forum members. One thing I can't find is if you need to add any sealant to the underside of the intake
gasket, or does it just go on dry? Thanks

RE: Intake plenum gasket
It should not need any sealer, but it will not hurt anything. If it were an o-ring style seal, then I would say no sealer.

I just did mine, I got the fel-pro gasket set when I did my whole intake, ( upper & lower ) No sealers required with that set, just ultra clean !!

I have always put on dry. Never had an issue. Done hundreds. JP[8D]

What is the size wrench(s) needed for removing the gas lines from the nut assembly (schraeder valve port and the other one)? I'm doing this in a parking ramp, and forgot the wrenches.

Umm, I think it's a 17 mm, but don't quote me on that....

They are actually a 16mm....I would think 15 or 17 but never 16.
Can this job be done with the lower intake still attached to the engine?
I'm assuming you have to unscrew the schraeder valve to get the one line in?
Biggest problem so far is the da.n torx bolt that holds on the gas line output connectors.
Going to have to find a 27 torx head to fit my wratchet w/o an extension, or maybe a smaller wratchet.
Guess I just answered my own question...duh.
thanks

...ok, schraeder valve line looks like it goes in from the back, and the other line looks like
it goes in from inside the lower intake...nice.
