Default [brakes] Electrical clicking sound when pedal is pressed (normal?)

I've just noticed a clicking noise whenever the brake is pressed. It is the same sound one might expect from a turn signal flashing (from the flasher). I'm assuming it's the switch for the brake lights but I don't remember it being so loud.

I've had this Blazer for a week but I haven't driven it more then 50 miles. Expect many posts.

What year is your Blazer? All newer vehicles are equipped with a safety device that prevents you from shifting out of 'park' without pressing your brake. The noise you are hearing is more than likely just this device disengaging thus allowing you to shift out of 'park'.

I have a '99 Blazer LS.

The clicking went away after I drove it a bit. But, as I mentioned, the sound is very similar to the turn signal and is coming from the same direction when ever I press / depress the brake (well, was...). I love how it's making me out to be a liar. Cars... you know?

If it is what I mentioned it wouldn't be clicking while you are braking under normal driving conditions. If it only clicks when you press the brake to get out of park than your problem is solved. If it DOES click under normal driving conditions I am not sure what to tell you. . . Sorry.

your problem most likely is that the multi function switch witch includes cruise wipers turn signals and i belive the 4 ways are one switch what happens is over the years the metal contacts wear out and mix with the dielectric greese inside the switch and complete the circut but only allows enough current to pass to click the blinker relay and the brake lights are ran through the same wire ie were the current clicking the relay is coming from and also belive its $150 for the part

if the click is random and does it sometimes and others it wont or has crazy spaz attaks thats your problem i my dad has a 2000 with the same problem and i also have a friend with a 98 with the same problem

good luck

If it only clicks in park than you have nothing to worry about. It is a safety mechanism that prevents you from shifting out of park without the brake being applied.
