Build is on it's way.
The first step now is to find out if there are reasonable priced aftermarket crankshafts for this engine.
The one pulled from the engine has yet to be identified. As it shows some ruts on the mains it will probably take quite some grinding to fit oversized bearings. As this means grind, nitrate, and fit equals cost I'm looking for a replacement.

Engine is fully apart now. Heads are the headache at the moment. Chris015's tip could work out. Ill figure that and see if i can pull a pair of heads on a junk-yard.
Else I'll work with my heads and fine-tune them. The already have the "Vortec" runners but not yet the heart-shaped combustion chamber.
Once I have built a sturdy base and the valvetrain I can change the heads also at a later time. Or even better I can build the engine I pull from my drive once I have this one running.
