Default Blend door actuator

Hi all. New guy from Michigan. Tried searching but all I can find is DIY stuff for the S-Series.

Anyone have experience changing out the blend door actuator to the far left in a full size?

Mine is a 93, and there appears to be two actuators. One is real easy to get to, the is up under the passenger side of the dash next to the main wiring harness pass-thru to the engine compartment. Guess which one is doing the nasty "clicking" noise?

Is there a write-up somewhere to make this an easier project? Or am I pretty much destined to be a contortionist and relegate to buying a fistful of 1/4" drive swivels and such to reach it?

There may be someone that come along and provide a visual aid but I recently did this on my 94, so I can tell you how I did it. Remove the glove box (simple as it's about 6 screws including the passenger side vent) and then remove the section next to the glovebox. My center section is where my aftermarket radio is located, but from the factory it could have had a few things, included the EQ and/or cassette deck. Having both these openings gives you relatively easy access to the actuator. A 1/4 drive socket with a 9/23 socket will remove the screws holding the actuator in place. I would imagine you could do it without removing the dash pieces but I can have the glovebox and radio out in about a min and it saves a lot of frustration.
