Low idle- Not wanting to start
Hey guys so my 88 k5 doesn’t want to start up and when I finally get it to the idle is super low. I’ve adjusted it higher and checked the timing but it still runs low almost sounding like there’s a misfire. I’ve replaced my spark plugs and checked my plug wires, all is good there. Running out of ideas maybe it’s an ignition module idk but before I start taking things apart if anyone’s trucks doing the same can you help me out here

Hello check
1. Battery if it is weak or acting like a sponge taking all the power
2. If it starts check the alternator if it is strong use the battery gauge turn on the radio fan other things to run a load see if it makes the battery gauge jump up and down
3. Where the battery negative lead or chassis ground wire to the body. Located under the battery cover. Sometime the negative connection is rusted out and barely hanging on
Try these things

When it is hard to start ? What are the weather conditions: wet, humid, cold, or anytime , any weather. Is it when the engine is cold or when it is up to operating temp.? The battery cables at each end need to be checked and cleaned. The infamous battery side terminals can hide corrosion. Take them apart and clean the insides of the side terminals. The grounds need to be checked. The condition of the battery charge is important. Please let us know what you find in your search.
