Default door lock triggers?

i have a 95 blazer 4.3 auto, 4door, just installed my remote start today, but could not figure out the door lock function. the Remote start box only has ground outputs on the unlock and lock trigger wires, was wondering if anyone knows if i have to send a +signal to the unlock and lock wires coming out of the panel or do i have to send a -signal.... basically i need to know is if you push the lock button on the door is it actuated by +12v or ground... also same for rear hatch glass pop as well.. it has a ground signal for that aswell coming out of the "brain" ...

Do you have factory keyless entry?

If you do, the the Module is located on the removable BLACK Plastic panel under the Drivers side Dash, next to the Parking Brake pedal. This Module (unit has TRW in the plastic) is BLACK in color and has (2) Plugs. (1) plug is BLUE and (1) plug is BLACK, the Door Lock (LIGHT BLUE) and Unlock (WHITE) wires are in the BLUE Plug.

If not, then Light blue (lock) and white (unlock) in the drivers kick panel. These will rest at ground then pule to 12v when you hit lock or unlock button.

If you only have - lock triggers on your brain, then you will need two spdt relays to hook them up. You will also need a spdt relay for the hatch release, as it is a + trigger as well. It is a black/white at the push button switch.

Wire door lock relays as follows:

Pin 87 of relay to fused 12v
Pin 86 to - lock output (or - unlock output) from alarm brain
pin 85 to fused 12v
Pin 30 to + lock (or - lock) wire in truck.

for Hatch release,

Pin 87 of relay to 12v fused
Pin 86 to - output from alarm brain
Pin 85 to fused 12v
Pin 30 to + wire at hatch switch.

You can get relays here

Let me know if you have any other problems

i have a 2000 blazer and i am installing a crimestopper 2014 tw2 II fm
can i just run the locks off of the old keyless. and this system came with an alarm. so does this disable the existing alarm or do i have to carry 2 key fobs with me to disable each system.

you will have to look into the wiring exactly. there is a light green wiring in the driver door harness that when pulsed disarms the factory unit. now, on your alarm there will be a disarm wire, might say (-) negative when disarmed or something like that. Hook those two together and you should be good to go. let me know if you have any issues. Also it will disarm with door unlock but thats doesnt help the same.

ps- here is a link to let you in on some info

i checked it against installogy but since its not a free service thats why the link to 12volt. i have found that audiovox isnt a bad sight for it and bulldog security site is not bad either.

anyhow, they usually include the diode in case its linked to the locks or something else in the system. if the alarm has a disarm alarm wire than it should be fine either way.
