Default driver side cv axle removel

Yup, I'm back with another problem. On my 2004 4wd Blazer the passenger side axle came right out, but the driver side won't budge. I've used every tip I know of. I even welded an angle to a piece of 1/2" rod and used my impact wrench to no avail. I'm stuck. Anyone have a magic trick up their sleeve? Would appreciate anything. Thank you in advance.

Default driver side cv axle removal

So to answer my own question and maybe help someone else, here is how we finally got the axle clip to release. We, (my son and I), attacked it again this morning, trying the tap and turn, in and out, etc. again to no avail. Decided to go for broke: Hooked up the air chisel with a pickle fork and attacked it side to side, turn, repeat and finally it broke free and we got it removed. Even though the seal is not leaking I am going to replace both sides so I won't have to go through this again.
