HELP! How do I remove the C Clips on a 8.5 Rear??
Hi Everyone, well my right rear axle bearing went out and I'm tearing into it today. My rig is a 96 2 DR 4X4 5-Speed with a 4.3. Here it is:
Any way I got to the point where I need to remove the C Clip for the right axle and I can't get it out!! Here is a picture of my dilemma:
I tried quite a few times to get it but I couldn't, how do I get it out? I twisted the rear and the other side of the C Clip looks like this:
How do I get this C Clip out? I can't figure it out.....Thank You!!

You have to first push the axle in and then use a magnet to pull the c-clip out. You could try rotating the diff center section to get it to fall out the bottom, but the position you had it in for the first picture of the diff is the best place to leave it for putting them back in.
