Default 1992 full size chevy blazer stiff gas pedal

The pedal is stiff, the accelarator cable and transmission kick down cable has been changed. Any ideas what this could be? I cleaned cleaning the throttle body but this did not seem to help.......any ideas?

How difficult does the throttle shaft turn without anything connected?

Yes. If the shaft turns hard, you may have to pull the throttle body and remove the throttle plates and the shaft to clean it up.

I can't say as I have ever pulled apart a TBI throttle shaft, but the older ones do not have bushings. The lower throttle plate on the q-jets is typically bored out for bushings after the holes wear out, but they don't come that way stock.
