92 s 10 blazer fuel injection problem
First I will say that I know almost nothing about trucks, but I am learning.
I had to replace my fuel injector, and the conector on top as well.(caught fire..oops)Well I put everything back as I found it,long story short..When I go to start the truck,it(the injector)just is dumping fuel..Wide open.
Any thoughts on what I did wrong? Is there a certain way it should sit.I did try to switch the wires.(encase I had the wires wrong.they were not the same color)Thank you for your time...

I am assuming that it is the 4.3 W? did you put a new spider on it or used? Where exactly is the gas coming from? Fuel lines, FPR or what?
#3
Sorry it took me so long to get back.(comp. problems.)I am not sure what the Spider is.
The fuel is dumping from the new injector.(not a pulse but a steady shot)
I did have a melted (not blown tho)fuse to the E.C.M.)Could that be a part of it?Thanx again...

O.K. I got it running, but it is smoking a little to pretty good while running. Is this normal or did I mess it up again?lol

You should go read the other posts in this forum about CPI troubles, I did a little write up on what to look for in the way of fuel leaking inside the plenem. If you have a fuel leak in there, then yes it will smoke alot, but more of a white smoke that oily...
Go take a look there, it tells you how to pull the spider out and check for leaks.

I sure will dig a little deeper.Thanx so much for the help.

The spider is the black thing that looks like a 6 legged spider when you take the upper plenum off. The fuel injector sits in the top center of it.

you keep saying injector as in single? What engine do you have? is your TBI as it has the pod on top with two pods that hold injectors?

The CPI engine has one single electronic fuel injector feeding 6 individual pressure actuated poppet nozzles.
The TBI motor had two electronic fuel injectors located in a pod above the throttle body.
Since both were available in '92, we really need to hear back from the OP as to what engine he has. TBI = round air cleaner on top of the engine. CPI = air filter box located in the driver side front corner of the engine compartment & "VORTEC" written on top of the plenum.
