Need help installing trailer lights on 94 GMC jimmy
As title says, I have a generic 4 wire connector i want to wire in for trailer lights but I cant find a harness to tap into to save my life... The tail lights harness goes inbetween the outside sheet metal and inside. The only thing i can see to tap into is the lisence plate light for running lights... I saw some RPO codes to look for that determine where the harness is but i have niether of the ones I've seen. Is there blazer/jimmys out there that just arnt supposed to have a tow package?

Only the ones that have a hitch will have a tow package. The bumper is for towing nothing more than a jetski trailer or something less than 500 pounds. I wouldn't tow off the bumper ever anyways. If you had no hitch hanging off it, then you have no trailer wiring.
You tap it in behind your left tail lamp. Run the wires up there. Im assuming you are adding just a 4-flat wiring harness to the truck so you can use a small trailer that has no brakes or backup lamps
White - Ground (black on the blazer, or just ground it to the frame)
Brown - Park lamps (brown on tail lamp)
Dark Green - Right (dark green on tail lamp)
Yellow - Left (yellow on tail lamp)
Just pull out a test light to find out which wire is which for the signals and park lights.
It uses both left and right to turn on brake lamps, so no there is no brake lamp hookup.

someone installed a reciever hitch a dew years ago before I bought it but never installed the lights. Yes I was putting a 4 flat on. I just ran the wires from the tail lights. Did my best to hide the wires becasue they literally come from behind the tail lights... couldn't find an exposed harness anywhere.

mine just has a bumper pull right now and not sure who put the flat 4 on it but its there
There is a bundle of wires coming from the drivers in split loom that I will investigate when the warm weather rolls around
I will be putting a 7 blade and a reciever hitch on for my trailer
