Too fast going turn signals and hazard
Hi,
I bought a -91 S10 two days ago and I am starting to fix it...
The first issue to solve is too fast blinking turn signals and hazard signal.
Both left and right side are at double speed and so is the hazard, so where should I start digging? I've checked that i have working bulps in the front bumper and markers and in rear both brake / signal bulps are fine. The one glass bulp in the middle is totally missing from the back lights. (checked only left, but assume that it is missing from the right side also) Has that anything to do with signals, or is it just a park?
The digital dash was not working and is now completely off, to be taken to a guy who tins the connectors. can that have anything to do with it? -the arrow indicators were still working.
I haven't gone through the wirings yet, since I don't have any diaghram or repair manual.
-T
PS. Tried the search allready...

Hi and welcome.
I think you have already started in the right direction.
Normally when a bulb fails it is possible that the frequency of flashing doubles. That would be the case for the flashers as well as the hazards.
The hazards "should" normally have a separate part of circuitry which allows them to work also without ignition "ON". If it is doing the flashing at double the speed on flashers and hazards it could be an indication of a bad/missing bulb or a bad ground somewhere.
At my garage if all the bulbs are working and are assessed positively we take a wire and connect it to a good ground and try hitting all the small metal framings inside the lamp housings to check if it is a ground problem. Careful to make sure that is the bulb support that acts as a ground and not to make a short.
