Question 1991 Chevy S10 blazer 4.3L v6 ti VIN Nr.

Hi guys,

Have a situation here where I cannot find the VIN number on the chassis. I have found it on the dashboard, on a sticker inside drivers door, on a sticker inside glove compartment and on a sticker inside engine. So I have found it in 4 locations, but not on the chassis.

Now the first problem is, this car is now in Europe and having the number engraved on the chassis is mandatory. I'm not even sure how it got legalised here in the first place without the number, so I'm assuming it does exist, and I just haven't found it yet.

Second problem is that the entire underside of the car has a 2mm thick protective coating of some sort (kind of like hard rubber), so the only way to search for the VIN number is to scrape around under the car.

So my question for you guys is: can you please all tell me the exact location of your vin numbers (on the chassis) so that I don't have to scrape everything from head to tail?

I have tried several places on passenger side, just under door, in middle of frame, at back of frame, etc... no luck yet.

Thanks.

the dmv should be able to tell you the location of it. I do not know where it would be though.

*edit*

Found this while googling

"If anybody wants to know the answer to this the frame does have numbers, mine were on the passengers sidein the middle of the frame in front of the rear body mount. You might have to strip this area down with some aircraft remover but the numbers are there"
