Question 1992 S10 Blazer 2dr Tahoe, Transplant GU6 from 1997 Blazer 4x4

1992 S10 Blazer 2DR 2WD Tahoe, LT1 5.7L swap, T56 6spd manual. Unknown Drum Brakes with a mechanical always on Locker Rear End (Not welded). It's really messing up driving in town or as a daily, would much prefer a POSI. Keep the locker for the drag strip when ready.

I want to transplant a GU6 rear end with gear 3.42ratio from a 1997 Blazer 4x4, I know it is wider that the 1 gen Blazer 2wd, I have wheels that require spacers already not a big deal, but the mounting positions for the leaf's look dead on by measurement and what the internet says is ok. It has disc brakes on the 97 Blazer 4x4 and a sway bar, I don't think I have a sway bar on the 1992 S10 Blazer, shocks look in the same position and width on both trucks. Holy crap does the driveshafts matter on a 2wd or 4wd, 8" difference.

My Question: I'm converting my 92' S10 Blazer Drum Brakes to 97' Blazer 4x4 GU6 with Disc Brakes. Do I need to update the master cylinder for the rear disc's? Also if possible, how different is the E-Brake on 1st gen to 2nd Gen if one were to do that conversion. Cause Imma try to keep E-brake, manual life.
