Default 4WD Electrical?

I replaced the three port vacuum switch on the transfer case and the shift motor on the trnasfer case. I now believe the shifting problem is in the switch or something else.

Is there a relay or control mechanism between the switch and the shift motor? Is there a wiring diagram available for this circuit?

My problem is that the switch lights up as 4WD high, blinks when I shift to 2WD and does nothing when I try for 4WD low range.

Thanks much, it is getting expensive and frustrating. Everything worked a few weeks ago.

Thanks,

Bill

What year is this?
I had a friend who had a 2000 that did something similar.
It wound up being the trans fer case was locking.Once he took the motor off he had to turn the t-case with a big flat blade.Once he got it back together he backed it up in 4 wheel low and busted the front differential.

Ouch, that doesnt sound like a cheap fix for your friend. Id rather have non working 4x4 then a busted front diffy

Default 4WD Electrical?

The Blazer is a 1992 code "W". I guess what I'm looking for is an electrical diagram of how this works from the switch to the indexing motor on the transfer case.

The vacuum side works fine, new 3 port switch and the diaphram and cable work freely.

Thanks,

Bill
