4wd oil filter in 2wd 85 s-10 blazer 2.8L v6

Default 4wd oil filter in 2wd 85 s-10 blazer 2.8L v6
I accidentally purchased and installed a Fram 3387a filter (made for 4wd) instead of the longer Fram 3980 (made for 2wd). Will this cause any problems? 1985 S-10 Blazer 2.8L V6 2wd. Thanks.

I am not sure, I think the 4wd one is only shorter due to the space where it is located. Hopefully someone else can chime in on this.

Id be more worried about running a crappy fram oil filter than the length/capitacy.

But to answer your main question no it wont hurt a thing.

Wont hurt at all, i agree the only mistake you made was buying a fram. If you go into a gm dealer you can get the proper filters for like 8 bux each.
