I'm having to replace my brake lines and live 20 miles from store so I got to order on line. I need the thread size off a 87, the line is 3/16 or 1/4 that I will find out when I start removing it but the ends should still be the same thread. Anyone know?

brake line should be 3/16
If you go to a place like Napa you should be able to talk them into pulling a wheel cylinder to check fitting threads and flare type if you are planning on going with pre made lengths
FYI if you can get armoured line (wrapped with spring ) its easier to bend without bending tools , the down side is the spring tends to hold dirt and cause rusting

thank you but I live alone out in the country and I can't get any parts store to tell me what the threads are so I can't order the line without bringing in the ends. I haven't found a place that knows the thread, they say not in their computer. Still looking. 1 spot said standard threads, what is standard thread for my truck, car whatever it is? Thanks

If I had to guess #105 X 3 line nuts ,#302X3 unions
Those are Weatherhead- Eaton Part numbers pretty standard in the trade
by descrption its standard 3/16 hydraulic brake line
If you have a decent repair garage closer to you they likely have what you need in stock
