I have a 87 S10 TBI blazer the fuel pump went out and we replaced it but it keeps blowing the fuse and won't start now. We even tried to put a switch in and wire it straight to battery to bypass the fuse box but it still keeps blowing the ECM 1 fuse. Please help I have been without a vehicle since March and it's driving me crazy.

sometimes their are more then one thing attached to those fuses. i worked on a kia van a few months ago that had some kind of brake relay that was rubbing the cv joint and would cause the ecm fuse to blow.
also my 93 has a issue with blowing its ecu/gauge fuse, theres like 12 things going to the fuse, like rear defrost, transmission, etc. finding issues like this is a royal pain in the butt. see if you can find a diagram or write up online of other stuff attached to that fuse that you can disconnect and see if that fixes the problem
also if your 87 is like my 93 they run a bunch of wires under the driver side carpet right where your feet go, maybe take a minute and pull the carpet up and see if any of those wires got rubbed through and are grounding out on the floor
