Welcome to the site.
Are you getting any codes?
If you want a guess.
TPS, IAC, or vacuum leak.

Yeah, I'm thinking IAC also, I have seen allot of them go bad lately, plus thay are easy to fix. Also the TPS, IAC,or a vacuum leak usually will not set a code on that vehicle. So with the IAC being the easiest to replace, I would start there. After that is replaced you might have to cycle the key on, then off for about 20 seconds then on agian, and even drive the truck over 20 mph to relearn the IAC. Hope this helps, Korey.

When you say it won't idle do you mean that it stalls or revs to fast?

thanks guys, i crank it up let off the gas it dies. From the research i have done the iac seems to be it. I pulled it off last night it looks gummed up. I tried moving the piont with the spring and it would not move. I am going to replace it. We will have to see. thanks again for your info.
