Default 91 - CAT needed?

I'm putting a rebuilt 4.3 in my 91 S10 Blazer. I'm thinking to do away with the CAT; it's legal here in VA because > 25 yrs old. But, I'm wondering if that will have an effect on anything else. Can I just do away with the CAT without it effecting anything....like the computer stuff that I know nothing about.

Regardless of any Virginia law, removing the catalytic converter is still illegal under federal law therefore we do not discuss it. Please see Blazer Forum rule #10.
