92 blazer full throttle - wont idle
Here's what it's doing.... While driving if I punch the throttle full and then left off it doesn't go back to idle, roughly 800 rpms. Rather when I let off the pedal it drops down but to what seems like 1500 rpms and will stay there till I tap the pedal and then it will drop back to idle. This happens maybe 1 of 4 times when I punch it. I can't seem to get it to do this when in park and the roll throttle linkage from under the hood. It seems to only happen when driving. Dose this sound like a faulty TPS?

The TPS sensor shouldn't be able to restrict throttle shaft movement. It just detects the position.
Are you in gear when you let off and it returns to 1500RPM? If so, what speed are you running? If you are in OD, having it return to 1500RPM may be completely normal since the engine is being driven by the transmission when in OD and the RPM would depend on your actual ground speed.

Speed varies from 30-50 mph. It Happens out of OD, always in drive. It's pedal to the floor, always when rolling, never from a stop. Most of the time it's trying to make moves in traffic. So pedal to the floor, make my move, and let off the pedal, engine revs down to what sounds like 1500rpms (just guessing), but higher than idle (800). It will stay there, even when I am rolling with my foot off the pedal, even when I roll to a stop the engine is running high on the rpm's. As soon as I tap the pedal it drops right down to 800 rpms. The strange thing is this it intermittent, like I said it seems to happen 1-4 times.

If you are moving, that is normal. The engine doesn't return to idle when in gear. It will hold a certain amount of RPM based on ground speed.
If you put it into neutral, does the RPM stay high?

Mine did something like you speak of, only when pushing the pedal to the floor it would only go to about 3/4 throttle, sometimes. I unhooked the cable going to the cruise control, seems for some reason it was making it hang once in while when flooring it, and or letting off.
Its easy to disconnect to see if that helps.
Oh, mine is a 92 4.3 W engine 4 X 4 automatic.
