Hello and thank you in advance. I am wondering if I can use an inline filter with some hose and clamps in place of the stock threaded filter under my blazer. I tried to remove the lines from the filter and the threaded end on each side of the filter will turn out of the filter, but wont spin free on the line itself and im sure the line will probably break if I proceed to turn. I tried to squeeze them all the way around with a vise grip to break free with no luck and lines are rusty. Will the clamps hold at 60 psi? It will try to start for just a second and then nothing but cranking. Leave it sit for a day and same thing next time. try and then nothing. Fuel pump does run when key is turned on. Havnt checked FPR but no gas in oil. I also just recently replaced the tank because of a rusted out leak and this prob started shortly thereafter. Sorry so long, any fast help is greatly appreciated.

 

Have you sprayed the connections with a penetrating oil like PB Blaster, tapped then let sit? Then hit with a wire brush and spray again?

Blaster is wonderful stuff. I hit my filter (looked original) with that a few times last year when I got the Bravada and it unscrewed like magic.
