Default 93 blazer caught fire

I just got this blazer from my buddy today and im assuming it caught on fire. I hooked up a good battery to it and suprise suprise, no power to anything. None whatsoever. I dont know what im looking at thats melted on the firewall so im hoping i can get some insight. I have a 94 blazer with a 4.3 vortec a few years back and i loved it. This one only costed me 100$ so i want to try to get it driveable.

looks like your going to need a whole new wiring harness at least. probably be best to find someone parting one out cause junkyards usually have their harnesses all hacked up.

its repairable. i bought a 85 years back the same way. but i had a blazer for parts

It looks like the wiper motor caught on fire. I agree though, you might need a new wiring harness.

I had one burn like that and I bought a parts car for parts.I had to pull the engine to get all the clips and mess out it melted wires and plastic down on so much that it was easier once the engine was out to get to every thing.Hey its a challenge but we all like these cars or we wouldnt go to the extremes we do to get them right. Take and keep plenty of pictures, it makes being proud of the result much easier. Good luck, you can do it.
