93 s10 blazer tahoe coolant leak

Default 93 s10 blazer tahoe coolant leak

ok so ive never had this happen with a vehicle before. there is coolant puddling up on the passenger side floor board but no apparent leaks to be seen on the ground or when i took a look under the truck, having some real issues tracking this leak anyone have any ideas on what to look at next?????????????

Agreed, sounds like a bad heater core.

x3 on that one. Theres not anything else it could be. Have fun with this one man... If you live somewhere that you never need the heater, you can join the 2 hoses together and forget about the heater core... There is 2 hoses under the hood that go into the firewall that Im talking about. They are about the size of garden hoses, cut em off and join em together if you need no heater.

Sounds like a heater core to me. I had the same problem with mine. Here's the link to my project and an outside link to a good step by step.

I can say I have replaced worse heater cores but they are never fun. One thing to look for is (possible) motor mount problems. I am positive my heater developed a crack because the mounts were blown. There is a bracket that holds both heater core lines on the outside of the blower box make sure you get that back on when you do the swap. That bracket will help to reduce any vibrations that come up the heater core hoses.
